Suits poster deconstruction

Suits - Poster deconstruction

  • "Nothing's ever black and white" - says that there's something behind all the first impressions, which also goes with the colours as most of it is black and white, although Michael's tie and shoes are red, implying he is special of some sorts, the red on Michael also draws the audiences attention to him.
  • The red in the poster could mean that the business is "In the red" to imply that they are losing money, or going through trouble.
  • They are walking into their own shadow which may mean that they're making their own fate worse.
  • Harvey is simply black and white, this could mean that he has nothing to hide, with relation to the tagline.
  • Michael is wearing trainers which could show that he has come from a non-formal background and does not belong in the business world.
  • The poster follows the golden rule as there is nothing placed directly in the centre of the poster, both men cover up the four main points.
