On day one of our filming we travelled to London to get shots of the city. It was a successful outing as many aspects of filming went well.
Benefits:
- Our location managed to get us effective and impressive longshots for our trailer. We were granted access to the top floor of the Westminster City Council building where we overlooked London having viewpoints of Buckingham Palace, The London Eye and Canary Wharf.
- We travelled round London via the tube efficiently so we could use multiple locations for our trailer. Whilst we were on the tube we were also able to film parts of it on the underground a part of our mise-en-scene. We travelled to Oxford Circus and Bank tube-stations.
- The equipment used also allowed us to have higher quality footage for our trailer. To hand we had a Go-Pro which we used to get versatile shots of the tube stations. We also made use of some of the attachments, such as the selfie stick for elevated, out of reach shots. As well as this, we had a high resolution camcorder which we could use for picturesque shots of the city and so on. The tripod was also useful in prolonged shots for time lapses.
