Practical Task: Drugs making

Practical Task: Drugs making

As part of our mise en scene for our trailer we feel that a common convention code is the use of drug scenes and drug taking. In order to achieve this we have assembled a combination of tablets and powder to create the illusion of possession of illegal drugs.
The genre of our trailer is based on the corruption in the business world. This means that we will  use more expensive drugs, used by wealthy/upper class people. From research we see that the most common drug is cocaine having a street value price of £487 for one ounce worth. We have also included pills as part of our drugs, like ecstasy as an example.
  • In order to create powder that looked like cocaine I used six hay-fever tablets and crushed them into small doses of powder by putting them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a hammer. I then made lines with the hay-fever powder by using a plastic card to segment them into three plastic lines.

  • I collected a mixture of colourful pills which look like illegal dugs. Examples of these tablets would be Amoxicillin, Paracetomol, Hay-fever tablets, Cod Liver oil tablets and other pain killers tablets.
