The Wolf of Wall Street

• The title of this film pretty much gives the audience a good idea of what the films narrative be uncovered to be and establishes the genre rather quickly.
• The main give away in the title are the words 'Wall Street' and 'Wolf' which indicates that the film is based on the main financial district in the world that is Wall Street and which deals holey with money.
• The word 'Wolf' however does create a little enigma as a wolf has connotations of a vicious hunter and or a strong member of a pack that works together and looks after one another. Therefore when linked with Wall street can lead the audience down a number of routes to what the film may be about
• On the other hand, as a title that represents the drama/crime genre that the film is, the title does a really good job of indicating that to audience because it pretty much reads, there is a wolf like person on Wall street that shouldn't be there and the audience are going to discover why.
• So in terms of evaluating the name as a whole I believe it to be a very good name that establishes the genre clearly, but stills keeps the finer details of the film hidden, meanwhile giving people some incentive of what the film is about.

Limitless

• This film name literally has so many different interpretations, possible narratives and fits in with most film genres
• The definition of Limitless is to be without end, limit or boundaries which is quite an positive and emotive adjective. Therefore conveys to the audience the film is going to end or follow a positive narrative rather than a negative one and rules out the genres that commonly don't end happily.
• And in terms of the narrative the film actually follows fits perfectly as its about a pill that gives you access to 100% of your brain power therefore giving you endless, unrestricted, limitless possibilities
• Therefore, the main thing I would take from this film title would be that it at first creates enigma which is good but then at a closer look is the best title for the narrative ;and also sounds interesting and almost astounding which is I will want to achieve with our film title for our trailer.

The Big Short

• The title for this film doesn't give much away about the film and means it could be about a number of things which is similar to Limitless, and this trend seems to be used to interest people to discover why the film is called what it is.
• The title its self is contradicting and juxtaposes its self as the adjective 'Big' opposes the adjective 'Short' as they both describe different sizes that cant be used to describe an event, object or person accurately.
• This juxtaposition has been used purposefully to engage and get people thinking why and what is been labelled and call The Big Short and consequently cause them to watch the film to find out. 
• But, I do like the juxtaposition and play on words that has been used effectively as I believe its make the title more interesting and interactive which will get more people to watch it, which I hope to try an incorporate in my film title.

Black Mass

• The film title here is a extremely enigmatic title and takes a fair amount of thought to conjure up and idea of what the film is about and the genre of the film.
• The word black is a description of colour and the word mass refers to a large object or a larger gathering of people. Both of which have no obvious links and means you have to think of ways these words would link to describe a film and its narrative
• This is a similar theme to The Big Short and Limitless but I do really like the mysterious titles as they cause for people to become engaged in with the film a lot more than with a plain title. And when you find out why the film is name what it is it makes it even more impressive which is definitely something I will try to recreate with my film title.

Legend

• Comparing this title to the rest I have started to see a trend of single word or short phrases that don't have any explicit or relevant links to the films narrative.
• The definition of legend is a famous story of something or someone and or the description of someone. Again, like Black Mass, Limitless and The Big Short it takes a little bit of thing and understanding to think of what the films narrative.
• We even see similarity in how the films title links with the films narrative and the meaning of the title only really occurs after the watching the film and gives the title and film more prestige even if it is a marketing strategy, it works and is common with my genre of film.
• So again I will try to recreate a title that has the same effect as Legend and the other films mentioned above.
