Website title editing
In order for our whole film package to have constituency throughout the trailer, poster and website one aspect that needed to by altered on the website was the font of the title.
As we can see in the picture below the font of the title 'Bank' is rather basic and has not been used in the poster nor the trailer, therefore I decided it needed to be changed to one that we have used through out in order our package to look professional.
To change the font of the title I had to copy the font from Adobe Photoshop called 'Tragan'. As we can see from this picture, compared to the font before hand, this font has small amounts of serifs which gives the title a bit more of a serious, sharpened cooperate business affect rather than the big boldness of the font before hand.
After finishing the editing of the title as a group we all agreed that the font of the title did look good and conform to the conventions of genre and convey the representation of the film that we wanted.
However, after deconstructing other films of our genre there was a clear mix of fonts being used within these films. For example, in The Wolf of Wall Street their font is big and big without any serifs but in The Big Short the font has similar to ours with a sharp effect and serifs.
Consequently, after we have come to close to finishing our trailer we will need to make a final decision on whether or not our trailer should of the big bold font or the serif font, which will depend on (from the trailer) whether it is portrayed as a loud in your face film such as The Wolf of Wall Street or a less ostentatious more serious film such as The Big Short.
The outcome from this decision will then either mean re editing the fonts of everything throughout our film package or leaving them how they are, but either way they all need to be consistent and conform to genre.
