Creating and editing the billings block
By Connor Taylor
An essential part of a film poster is that they have a billings block. A billings block contains all of the names of production companies and of the individuals of importance who were part of the film. Therefore it was very important that we had one for are trailer so that it would look at a professional standard.
For the first part I started by putting in the name of a production company names and the name of the production 'Bank. I then started to adjust the spacing between the letters and the words so that it would look more like a traditional billings block.
I then changed the sizing and spacing of the words that were not names so that people could clearly differentiate between the roles and the names.
I then started to focus on structuring the text so that it would conform to other interpretations and uses of billings blocks.
I then further tweaked the sizing of the words and made it so all of the text which were names would be in full caps lock.
I then lastly looked through and edited certain typography and letter presentation in order to get a font that would look much more like an actual film poster billings block.
