Editing and placing the billings block

Editing and placing the billings block

By Connor Taylor

For this session I was editing and placing the billings block to the poster, an essential part of the poster which needed to be completed.

After I imported the picture from my emails I then started to crop the image so that it would fit better on the poster and that it would not clip with the age rating or production company pictures.

After cropping the image I also used Photoshop to make the background a solid black so that it would blend with the bottom of the poster which blends to black.

I then started to edit the tagline of the poster so that the font was more conforming to our trailers typography and make a more appropriate size.

I then came to a technique which would enable me to have the exact typography from the trailer title by making a picture of the typography and then putting that on the poster.

I then completed the same process for the tagline to make it match the main title shot and then deleted the background around the text so that their would be no clipping issues with the tagline.

To conclude I think that this editing sessions was successful as it gave me the opportunity to make the typography for the poster conform to the trailer giving them both a connection to one another to the audience.
