Deconstruction of Production Companies

Paramount - 

Paramount is one of the 'Big Six' production companies and the fifth oldest company to still be in operation since it was founded in 1912. Paramount is responsible for the movie's such as the 'Transformers', 'Forest Gump', 'Shrek' and their highest grossing 'Titanic'. Paramount however, make little or o films which alike or conform to our trailer genre of business crime drama, therefore making a little less inspiring or helpful to my research.

StudioCanal - 

StudioCanal a french orgin production company who owns the third largest film library in the world, is a massive producer of films making films all across most genres. They are responsible for or had works in 'The Hunger Games', 'Black Mass', 'Legend', 'Rush' and many more. This company however is very inspiring to me as they have many movies such as 'Legend' and 'Black Mass' which conform to our trailer idea and greatly inspire it.

Universal - 

Universal being another of the 'Big Six' production companies and was also created in 1912, the same year as Paramount. Universal has made movies such as 'E.T', 'Despicable Me 2', 'Fast and Furious franchise', 'King Kong' and many more. Universal, however is very similar to Paramount, making very popular films from many categories, but little from our trailer genre, making it not too useful for inspiration but still helpful due to their many successful productions.

Warner Bros. Studios/Television - 

Warner Bros. Studios is a major production company owned by Warner Bros.. It is responsible for the movies 'American Sniper', 'Harry Potter', 'The Hobbit', 'The Hangover' and there best selling 'The Dark Knight trilogy' and many more. Warner however does have good sources of inspiration through its wide range of movie genres, meaning some of them are similar to our own idea or have part that are the same such as in 'The Hangover' and 'The Dark Knight' making it very useful for me.

To conclude I felt that StudioCanal is the most appropriate to our genre and for inspiration purposes and research as it is the most alike and relevant to our genre with movies such as 'Legend' making it very useful and beneficial.
