Falling money shot

We wanted to show wealth in our trailer, and so we decided on a shot of myself with money falling around me (in slow motion).
I printed off some copies of £20 notes from google images, the first bunch came out too small.

I then resized the notes to get them the right size, we went to the photography studio, set up the lighting to one side to show a good and a dark side. I then threw the money up in the air and stood stationary as the money fell. used them solely for this purpose and destroyed them once I was done.

I then went about finding the right shots, cropping them down and extracting them so that they would run smoothly on the macs.

I imported two clips to our Final Cut piece, as I was stuck between which to choose. One of the shots was taken at normal speed and so I needed to slow this down in Final Cut.

I decided to go with the shot that was taken with normal speed as it was better quality and looked a lot more professional. I reversed the clip so that the money would fly upwards, slowed this down to 20% speed and reduced the clip. We may need to redo this as an issue came up at which the money was only on one side and some notes you could see the white back on them.

The shot appeared too long and so I split the shot into two and used the clip of the tube in between.

I adjusted the exposure so that the dark side of my face was even darker and the rest a bit lighter so that it showed the contrast between the good and the bad side of the character. I also added a hint of blue as it brings out the shadows.
